本裝置用于處理船上來自廁所的糞便污水（又稱黑水）。處理過程中不添加任何稀釋水、灰水、處理水和（或）海水，不適用于特殊區域（指波羅的海）排放生活污水的客船，不考慮總氮和總磷性能指標的要求。

This plant is applicable to treat the sewage, which means human body wastes and the wastes from the toilets on vessels and which is also called “black water” . Processing process should not add any dilution water, grey water, processing water and / or seawater, should not apply to the special region (referring to the Baltic Sea) discharge sewage to the passenger ship, without considering the requirements of the performance index of total nitrogen and total phosphorus.

船用生活污水處理裝置屬IMO國際防止船舶造成海洋污染公約《MARPOL 73/78》附則IV的關鍵設備。本系列裝置遵守2012年10月5日 頒布的MEPC.227(64)決議（稱為新標準）。

Marine Sewage Treatment Plant belongs to the key devices for prevention of pollution form ships in seas and oceans according to the revised Annex IV of the International Convention of the Prevention of Pollution (MARPOL 73/78). This device is according to the MEPC.227(64) resolution enacted on October 5, 2012, which is called “new standards”.

本裝置將適用于2016年1月1日或以后在下列船舶上安裝的生活污水處理裝置：

(1)所有區域的船舶（客船除外）；和

(2)MARPOL附則IV特殊區域外的客船。

This device will apply to sewage treatment plants installed on or after 1 January 2016 on:

1. ships, other than passenger ships, in all areas; and

2. passenger ships outside MARPOL Annex IV special areas.

SWCM(Ⅰ)型船用生活污水處理裝置利用活性污泥、接觸氧化和膜生物反應器（MBR）的原理消解有機污染物質。膜生物反應器能高效、徹底和干凈地處理污水，使排放水滿足IMO新標準和其他更嚴厲的要求。
