|
||
PTG-3550 coating thickness tester PTG3550

Nondestructive coating thickness measurement principle
• 1) the principle of electromagnetic induction:
When the metal magnetic matrix such as measurement of coating thickness on steel and iron, the use of thisnondestructive standard phase II PTG series coating thickness tester. The coating must be non-magnetic, such as: paint, enamel, aluminum, chromium, copper and brass.
• 2) eddy current principle:
When the non-magnetic substrate such as aluminum, aluminum alloy, copper, bronze, brass, tin brass and stainless steel measuring coating thickness of weak magnetic steel, the use of this nondestructive standardphase II PTG series coating thickness tester. The coatingmust be electrically insulated, such as: paint, enamel, plastic, coating and ceramic.
The calibration process
Note: all PTG series coating thickness gauge is before shipment by two-point calibration verification and calibration.
• 1 point calibration):
This process is through the instrument in the test piecewith no coating on the zero adjustment to achieve, youwill measure the specimen on the coating thickness. In order to complete the calibration, you need to follow thesimple calibration method in the operating manual, it is not as accurate as using two-point calibration.
• 2) two-point calibration:
This process is the piece of test instrument in the matrixwe provide random (steel / aluminum) on the zero adjustment to achieve, then put one calibrated foil on thesubstrate and the calibration of the instrument to match the known foil thickness. The best use of the known thickness were test piece closest to your foil, this is a very simple process, in the operating manual forinstructions. By using the two-point calibration method, you can ensure that the measurement you with a coatingtest piece is the most accurate. Before shipment, we use the same method for calibration of each instrument.
• 3) calibration frequency:
Once the PTG series coating thickness gauge iscalibrated parameters will be saved, and the calibrationprocess does not need to be repeated. We suggest not to use in a long time after the operation or instrument in a period of time situation, you should use and calibrationmatrix / previously calibrated instruments the same foil.
