橡膠止水帶在運輸與貯存時不能長時間露天曝曬，防止雨淋，勿與污染性強的化學物質接觸，防止機械，鋼筋損傷。產品應存放場所最好保持-10℃－+30℃，相對濕度在40%－80%應注意勿使其損壞，放置于通風、干燥處、并應避免陽光直射，禁止與酸堿油類及有機溶劑等接觸，且隔離熱源，應保存于室內，并不得重壓，成品應取直平放，勿加重壓。存放場所最好保持-10~+30，相對濕度40%~80%。自生產日期起半年內產品性能應符合國家標準的規定。

外貼（背貼）型橡膠止水帶作為防水板的輔材，可廣泛應用于地下室、地鐵隧道、公路和鐵路隧道工程的防水及水壩、人工湖、水池、污水處理場、垃圾掩埋場等工程的混凝土構筑物底板或壁板外側（構筑物迎水面）的防水及防滲。實際應用中主要使用在水壓及變形量較小的變形縫、伸縮縫、沉降縫等，具有與混凝土錨固緊密、止水密封及適應伸縮縫拉伸變形等特點，結構物的背貼式止水帶也可作為普通止水帶使用，應用于混凝土現澆時變形縫、施工縫內與混凝土結構成為一體的基礎工程中，解決縫隙處的滲漏水問題背貼式止水帶主要適用于混凝土構筑物底板或壁板外側（混凝土迎水面）。具有與混凝土錨固緊密、止水密封及彈性拉伸變形等特點。外貼式止水帶是防水板后的第一道防水層，對于隧道滲水的預防至關重要。

施工方法：

方法1、在止水帶背面配30mm厚木模板，模板的寬度和長度應滿足止水帶安裝的要求，木模板應與外墻整體模板連成一體，以防澆筑混凝土時木模板發生位移、漏漿，失去止水作用。同時用212in（lin=25mm）雙帽釘將外貼式橡膠止水帶與木模板固定，將雙帽釘釘在止水帶兩側最邊緣部位，每隔200mm釘雙帽釘一個。安裝好的止水帶應平整，無下垂現象，此部位在澆筑混凝土后，強度達到設計強度的80%以上方可拆模。
